Join us ’round the maypole for our Beltane Camping trip! This is event is open to the public. Enjoy the blessing of our new Maypole, a Beltane ritual, community stew, impromptu workshops and games, and fellowship with your community! This camping trip is very family-style: We have a group camping site reserved at Moraine View, food and drink are often shared, and camping is close together.
Blessing of the Maypole Ceremony will be at 10am on Saturday. The Main Beltane Ritual will be Saturday afternoon at 5pm. If you are coming only for ritual, please arrive before 2pm, to give yourself time to meet others and get in the community spirit.
Saturday evening we will be sharing community stew. Please bring along an ingredient for the stew; ideas for ingredients are: root or other vegetables (no onions please! We have a members with allergies), stew meats, beans (canned, not dry), pasta, canned tomatoes, etc. We will have a community stew for vegetarians as well! 1-2 cups of your ingredient is plenty! We will also have a community snack table and would like to keep a couple pots of hot drinks going: please consider bringing apple cider, hot beverage drink mixes (hot cocoa, tea, etc), or snacks to share. If you are unable to contribute to the community food, you are still welcome to join us & partake. We do not *ever* want to leave anyone out due to financial hardship!
We will be located at the Moraine View State Park in Group Camping area. Camping will be open 5pm Friday, May 4th through noon Sunday, May 6th.
Cost for the weekend is:
YOU MUST REGISTER IN ORDER TO ATTEND! This is very important as we need a head count for ritual. Registration closes on Tuesday, May 1st. Space is limited.
