Who writes for Hedgehog Squeaks anyway?  Who are these nutty people?  Here are our bios (in reverse alphabetical order, because some of us don’t want to be first!):

Libby

Libby

 Libby:

I’m a busy solitary witch, and I’ve been actively pagan since my late twenties.  In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Pagans in Touch, I am also the lead Local Coordinator for Central Illinois Pagan Pride Day, and I volunteer to help with events hosted by Central Illinois Pagan Alliance as well as at Pagan Spirit Gathering.  I work full time at ISU while completing my Master’s degree in History.

Lena:

To describe me, “eclectic” should probably be changed to “scattered”.  haha! I am a Hereditary Witch, descending from a long line of talented crones. I began my path at an extremely early age, pretty much from birth, and have always educated myself in many traditions and religions in an effort to understand the “big picture” of spirituality. I now consider myself an equal opportunity practitioner of worthy energies. I am a novelist by trade, a mother of two beautiful maidens, and a wife to a man who supports me in all things that keep my life busy day after day. I was recently elected as co-leader of Pagans In Touch and serve on the Central Illinois Pagan Pride Committee. It’s a big, beautiful, messy, wonderful universe out there and I’m glad I have my broomstick to carry me above the clouds when the rain pours and clear the space beneath my feet on sunny days.

Hedgehog:

You can call me Hedgehog.  I’m tiny, curious, and fiercely loyal to those I love. Well that and a bit spikey if you make me mad. Did I found Pagans In Touch?  Yes.  Did I organize the group for a couple of years?  Sure.  Have I happily handed over the running of this crazy organization to two of the most wonderful women I know?  You Betcha!  It has been my honor and privilage to run this branch of Pagans In Touch for the last 8 years.  In those years I have learned and grown as a pagan and more importantly as a person.  My favorite part of Pagans In Touch has been learning about everyone else’s faiths and paths.  It is in learning about other people’s paths that my own has started winding and twisting.  My pantheon has expanded and my magic grown.  I am so thankful to everyone who has passed through our doors, leaving behind their expereinces, their wisdom, their laughter. Whether you spent weeks, months, or years with us, you are remembered and we are thankful for the time you gave us.

Amanda:

I’m a mom & wife, first and foremost.  I’ve got four children, five if you include the big kid I’m married to, and 6 if you include the fur-babies.  Also, I’m a crafter.  I make anything my mind dreams up… usually in the form of quilts, but not always!  As for the Pagan-y stuff (yes, it’s a word!), here’s the short story:  I’ve been Pagan for over 20 years, and I’m currently on a solitary eclectic path, with some Heathen & Celtic leanings.  Dieties close to my heart include Hecate, Cernunnos, Hel, Skadi, and Thor.  I’ve been working with Pagans in Touch and Central Illinois Pagan Pride Day for 3 years now.  I’m currently one of the co-leaders to Pagans in Touch, as well as one of the local coordinators for Central Illinois Pagan Pride.  It’s been a crazy fabulous journey, and I’m excited to see where we go from here!
